Required Documents
Applicants are expected to hold a Master or Diplom in business administration, economics or related areas. Outstanding candidates with only a Bachelor degree will also be considered. The application deadline for the doctoral program starting in October is April 30. To apply, students have to submit the following documents:
- A current CV
- Certified copies of all relevant academic qualifications, tests and degrees, including grades and diploma supplements (for non-German or non-English language materials an officialy certified translation is required)
- Two contacts for recommendation letters
- A two page research proposal, outlining the research interests, your proposed area of specialization (Accounting, Finance, Management) and a potential research project
- GRE test scores
- Proof of English language skills (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS) for non-native English speakers. This test can be waived if you obtained your qualifying degree in an English language program
To apply, you have to use the online application system offered by the BDPEMS program. After registration, pick the menu item "research interets". Under this item you will have the option to choose HGSB as the program you are applying for. Also, you should indicate which research area (accounting, finance, or management) you are most interested in.
