Wirtschaftsinformatik I

The lecture „Wirtschaftsinformatik I“ and its tutorials deal with theoretic, technical and economic foundations of operational information systems. Part of these are the topics data and numbering systems, hardware and software, as well as tutorials in operational standard software. Furthermore, the basic mechanisms of the internet and data base organisation are introduced as important cornerstones for understanding web-based information systems. Exercises in HTML and the language SQL will also be conducted. Another focus will be on algorithms and how they can be described by structograms.
The course is conducted in the winter term and consists of one weekly lecture which lasts three hours and tutorials which last two hours and take place every other week. During the exam period between the winter and summer term (in both exam sections) an exam will take place which lasts 90 minutes.

It is recommended for interested graduates of „Wirtschaftsinformatik I“ to visit the course „Wirtschaftsinformatik II“ (Bachelor) taking place at every summer term.


Wirtschaftsinformatik II

The course „Wirtschaftsinformatik II“ consists of three parts: Introduction in Java, System Analysis and Design and Database Management.

After finnishing the course the exam will take place in the following exam sections.
