Background
Holger Ziekow (born 1981) studied computer science with minors physics and business at the Humboldt-University of Berlin and at the Technical University Berlin . In 2003 he has joined the Institute of Information Systems at the Humboldt-University of Berlin where his primary research focus was security and privacy in the context of RFID technology. Before that he had worked as software developer in the field of embedded systems in Berlin and for AC Nielsen in New Zealand . In 2005, he spent several months at the SAP Labs in Palo Alto , California , where he developed technologies for the SAP Smart Items Infrastructure as part of his Master’s Thesis.
Currently Holger Ziekow is working on his Ph.D. thesis that deals with data processing in Ubiquitous Computing environments. His research focuses on sensor networks as well as RFID applications in manufacturing and cooperative values chains.
