  • Aug 2nd: Prof. Dr. Gründl accepted the offer for a professorship for insurance science, insurance supervision, and insurance regulation at Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. He left Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin on October 1st, 2010.

Our insititute was a co-organiser of the workshop "Demographic Risk", which took place from December 16th-17th. Prof. Juho Alho (University of Joensuu, Finland), Dr. Volker Deville (Allianz SE) und Prof. Kevin Dowd (Nottingham University, United Kingdom) were keynote speakers. Prof. Dr. Helmut Perlet, Chief Financial Officer of the Allianz Group, was appointed Honorary Professor of the School of Business and Economics. On Wednesday, 24th October, Prof. Dr. Perlet gave his inaugural speech on the topic "Rechnungslegung im Versicherungsunternehmen - Quo vadis?". Ernst-Georg Hennig, head in the field of "Betriebliche Altersversorgung" at the "Funk-Gruppe", gave a speech on the topic: "Fordert der Markt überhaupt etwas vom Gesetzgeber? - Gedanken eines Mittlers zwischen Angebot und Nachfrage".
