Structure
It is the individual student's responsibility to choose courses in order to obtain the necessary number of credit points. Tuition is offered in the form of lectures, seminars and practice sessions in each topic. It is likely that each topic will be available in English or German in alternate semesters or years. Students may choose any selection of topics in any order, as long as they comply with the requirements of the Program Structure and offer sufficient credit points.

Please note that students interested in completing this PhD program must apply separately to the Berlin Doctoral Program in Economics Management Science (BDPEMS). Further details can be found on their website www.doctoralprogram.de
For more detailed information, please download and carefully read the following legal documents:
- Studien- und Prüfungsordung (version 2010 in German)
- Studienordnung (version 2004 in German) / Study Regulations (version 2004 in English)
- Prüfungsordnung (version 2004 in German) / Exam Regulations (version 2004 in English)

Note: For those students who started the program before the 2010 Study and Examination Regulations were published, the default applicable regulations are those proposed in the year 2004. Should the student wish to switch to the new regulations, this needs to be applied for and documented accordingly (Study Regulations Change Form). Please note that this change is irreversible. For students begining the program in the year 2010 or later, only the most recent regulations are applicable and a switch to the old regulations is not possible.
