As part of the HORIZONS lecture series, Humboldt-Forum Wirtschaft e.V. and Wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Gesellschaft at HU cordially invite you to a panel discussion on the topic of "Green Finance - Future of Financial Markets or Greenwashing?"

The panel discussion followed by a Q&A session will take place on Wednesday, 8th of June, at the Faculty of Economics (Spandauer Straße 1) in room 220. The discussion will be in English and it will start at 18:00 and last until 20:30.

At the event, we want to look at what Green Finance actually means and have a discussion about the Green Investment labels, their accountability and the overall quality of these financial instruments. We want to ask questions like: What is the difference to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Criteria? How can we avoid Greenwashing? Could Green investments become the new benchmark of investing? 

The guest speakers are experts in fields of Finance, Economics, Politics and Business, and they will discuss green investments, responsibilities and the success and challenges of these financial instruments moderated by Thomas Wendel:

- Sana Al-Badri (Co-founder of Sagefund)
- Prof. Dr. Alexander Bassen (Chair of Business Administration at the University of Hamburg)
- Katharina Beck (Member of the Bundestag, financial policy spokesperson for Bündnis 90/ Die Grünen)
- Claudio Baccianti (Economist, Agora Energiewende) join the debate.

The event will begin with a short welcoming speech by Professor Joachim Gassen (HU). 

There is no need to register and the event is open to everyone who is interested (just make sure to not be late!)
