The Wiwi Welcome Initiative was established in March 2016 with the help of DAAD and has the goal to help refugees to study at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin's School of Business and Economics.
Refugees face a lot of difficulties when it comes to continuing or trying to start their studies at a German university. Our team therefore advises about our school’s study programs and ways to participate such as Guest Studentships or full degree programs. We want to make sure that everyone knows what to expect from joining one of our programs and how to overcome challenges and initial barriers that might seem intimidating at the beginning.
Hence it is important to us to not only offer academic advice but also to show means of getting involved at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. We therefore established a Mentoring and a Tutoring Program, which helps refugees to connect with their fellow students and to get help with specific questions in their classes.
For any questions that you might have about studying at our school as a refugee, don’t hesitate to contact us or drop by the International Office during our specific Office Hours.
