Short-Bio

Tizian Fischer is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Chair of Information Systems, having completed a Bachelor of Arts in Banking & Finance/Business Computer Science from the University of Zurich in 2018 and a Master of Arts in Business Innovation from the University of St. Gallen in 2019. In 2022, Tizian achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. With a background of four years in the Investment Banking sector as an FX Trader at one of Switzerland's major banks, Tizian also founded Nalda, a rapidly growing tech startup that utilizes cutting-edge technology and machine learning across various business units, distributing over 10 million products in 200 countries.

 
Research Interests

Tizian Fischer's research interests revolve around the intersection of financial markets and deep learning. This includes the forecasting of financial market time series, analysis of financial market data, and exploration of other related areas.

 

Responsibilities

Tizian's key responsibilities at the Chair of Information Systems include leading research projects that bridge finance and information systems, and actively participating in other tasks to support the chair's mission.
