Doctoral student representation
To adapt the services offered by the Graduate Centre to the needs of the doctoral students, doctoral students shall be involved in the conception and organisation of new services. Furthermore, wishes and problems of all doctoral students of the School shall be discussed within the framework of the Graduate Centre. The doctoral student representation will ensure this.
The doctoral students of the structured doctoral degree programmes as well as the School's individual doctoral students regularly elect their representatives. The School's doctoral student representation comprising representatives of the structured doctoral degree programmes and of the individual doctoral students acts as voice and mediator between the doctoral students, the Graduate Centre's coordinator and the Deanery.
In the initial phase of the Graduate Centre, the responsibilities of the individual doctoral student representatives will be undertaken by volunteers. In the medium term, the representatives will be elected by the School's individual doctoral students.
