Certificate of Arrival

What

There are many names for this: Certificate of Attendance, of arrival, of departure. However, it is all about the same document, namely the confirmation, mainly relevant for Erasmus students, that you have arrived at our university, have completed your exchange here and have left again.

How

As a rule, you will receive the form from your home university.

It is best to come to our office hours to have the form signed by hand. If this is not possible for valid reasons, we also have the option of signing the certificate digitally.

When

We will sign the certificate at the beginning and end of your stay. Please also comply with the deadlines set by your home university.

What else do I need to consider

Please note that the arrival date cannot be earlier than the first day of the semester (01 October for the winter semester or 01 April for the summer semester) or the beginning of the intensive German course (in September for the winter semester and in March for the summer semester).

Similarly, we will specify the day of your last assignment at HU (exam or term paper submission) as your departure date.

We are not allowed to consider flight or train tickets or rental contracts as reference for the period of your stay.
