          Dirk Hofmann

 

Dirk Hofmann was born in Tübingen, Germany. He studied mathematics and economics at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität in Freiburg and at Universität Leipzig. He received his diploma in mathematics in 2005. During his studies he worked at various chairs as a student assistant, lastly at the Chair of Microeconomics of Prof. Dr. Harald Wiese. In 2006 Dirk was enrolled in the Berlin Doctoral Program in Economics and Management Science (BDPEMS). Since 2007 he has been working as a research assistant of Prof. Dr. Roland Strausz at the Institute for Microeconomic Theory at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Dirk's research interests cover Information Economics, Financial Microeconomics as well as Matching and the Theory of Economic Networks. His further interests are ranging from playing and enjoying music to soccer as well as informatics.
