Exam registration

In order to be allowed to write an exam, you have to register for it. It is not possible to take the exam without registering.

The Examination Office publishes the examination dates and registration deadlines on this website in good time each semester.

There are 2 dates available for each exam. You must choose a date and register for it within the respective registration deadline. If you wish to withdraw your registration, you may only do so within the withdrawal deadline, otherwise the exam will be considered as failed.

Registration takes place via your personal area on AGNES, i.e. you must be logged in with your HU account on AGNES. In addition, you will be asked to enter a TAN number from your TAN letter when you actually register online.

Registration is also required for a second attempt. As soon as you receive the negative result of the first attempt, you can register for the second attempt via AGNES. The registration deadline for this is the same as the withdrawal deadline for the relevant examination in the 2nd examination period.

In exceptional and well-founded cases, you may take the 2nd attempt at your home university. However, we strongly advise against this solution, as it is not easy to implement. Should this nevertheless occur, registration through AGNES is still essential.
