Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Economic Theory II (Macro)

Our Self-Conception in Research

The Institute of Economic Theory II is dedicated to an effective representation of the subjects of Macroeconomics and Labour Economics in research as well as in teaching.

In research we set the ambitious goal of looking into new and relevant, empirical and theoretical findings and bring them to the scientific public. The achievement of this goal can best be measured by output-indicators such as the number of publications in internationally acknowledged journals whose articles are subject to professional assessment, the number of Discussion Papers, as well as citation frequencies and rankings (e.g. by Handelsblatt, RePec and others).
Not only the professor, but also the assistents are expected to contribute to this goal through theoretical and quantitative research which complies with international standards.
